In a small or independent liquor store, a manager may also buy from wholesalers, and a cashier may stock shelves, provide customer service, and fulfill other responsibilities.

What are liquor store employees responsible for?

Liquor store employees are responsible for assisting customers in selecting alcoholic beverages, verifying IDs to ensure legal purchase, stocking shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. They may also handle cash registers, process transactions, and provide information about different types of products. To manage these challenges, staff receive proper training on identification checks, conflict resolution, and product knowledge, and they work closely with team members and managers to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
