TITLE: Linux Administrator Required: Secret clearance RATE RANGE: $65.00/hr - 73.50/hr W2 contract with limited benefits contract or contract to hire HYBRID LOCATION: Scottsdale, AZ ***No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED*** Linux Administrator with AWS Skills for a role in Scottsdale, AZ. Provides infrastructure support for ServiceNow MID servers, application nodes, RDS instances, and supporting systems within a self-hosted network enclave. This role combines Linux system administration with cloud infrastructure expertise to ensure reliable platform operations, particularly for Discovery, and any future integrations. REQUIREMENTS Active Secret Clearance Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux certification preferred AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator certification strongly preferred 3+ years Linux system administration experience in enterprise environments 2+ years hands-on AWS experience including EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages Understanding of secure cloud architectures and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA) Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain ServiceNow MID servers on Linux platforms for future Discovery and integration operations
  • Manage Linux server infrastructure including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Ubuntu systems supporting ServiceNow
  • Configure and maintain AWS infrastructure components including EC2 instances, RDS databases, VPCs, security groups, and networking for cloud-based ServiceNow resources
  • Implement system hardening, patching, and security configurations aligned with federal security baselines (STIGs, CIS benchmarks)
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; troubleshoot Linux-level issues affecting ServiceNow operations
  • Automate deployment and configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures for MID servers and supporting infrastructure components
  • Coordinate with network and security teams on firewall rules, routing, and connectivity requirements across enclaves
