ECS is a leading provider of managed cybersecurity services, and they are seeking an Infrastructure Linux Engineer to support their Army Endpoint Security Solution program. The role involves designing, building, securing, and maintaining Linux servers in a Federal DoD environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual Linux servers on secure and unsecure networks.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers to resolve performance and security issues.
• Deploy, integrate, upgrade, and maintain commercial and government off-the-shelf applications in support of program requirements.
• Support cross-functional teams with assessing, troubleshooting, and resolving stability and performance issues with third party Linux applications.
• Create and/or maintain documentation for Linux server configurations.
• Ability to harden Linux servers and conduct DISA STIG reviews, assess findings, and recommend/implement appropriate corrective measures to ensure compliance with STIG requirements.
• Implement, tune, operate, and maintain diagnostics and performance monitoring tools to detect, prevent, and/or resolve anomalous server behavior.
• Collaborate with multi-function teams to maintain an effective and compliant security posture for all systems enclaves.
• Support special projects as assigned by assisting with requirements gathering, analysis and through direct engineering support to deploy, configure, and implement required systems and services.
• Utilize CRM tools to request and track change requests to the servers and infrastructure.
