Overview

Connexus Hub is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to manage and modernize a hybrid IT environment spanning on-prem infrastructure and Microsoft Azure/M365.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform systems administration and engineering across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Azure Entra ID, and Active Directory
  • Implement security controls aligned with NIST and FISMA
  • Configure and maintain:
    • Servers (Windows/Linux)
    • VMware environments
    • Cisco networking infrastructure
  • Develop STIG baselines, patch management, and monitoring solutions
  • Support disaster recovery and system resilience planning
  • Document system architecture and operational procedures


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years in systems engineering / administration
  • Strong experience with:
    • Azure / Microsoft 365
    • Active Directory / Entra ID
    • VMware
    • Windows and Linux servers
  • Knowledge of federal IT compliance (NIST/FISMA)
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments


Preferred

  • Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect certification
  • Experience with Cisco networking
