Job Summary:
AUSGAR Technologies, Inc. is an established, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and government contractor specializing in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, and Systems Engineering. The Senior CDS Systems Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing various Radiant Mercury configurations, ensuring compliance with government regulations and military standards.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot complex system anomalies across Windows, Linux and network layers.
• Install and configure systems in the government lab.
• Support the CDS development, installation, training and testing of the family of systems.
• Work closely with DoD and Intelligence Community stakeholder engineers to ensure compliance with government regulations, military standards and security protocols.
• Conduct System Baseline Security Assessments (SBSA), rule set verifications and filter behavior validation against Data Owner Guides (DOGs) and security policies.
• Independently perform installations, upgrades and configure systems at various DoD sites both inside the continental/contiguous United States (CONUS) and outside the continental/contiguous United States (OCONUS).
• Conduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of configuration of system installations to verify they are operating securely and as configured.
• Complete required test reports from IV&V.
• Provide technical direction and recommendations to the government test team.
• Review technical documentation and witness and report on Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of new software builds and operating system patches.
• Conduct functional testing at the component and system levels.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must have an active TS/SCI eligibility clearance from day one.
• CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent cert required.
• CompTIA Security+ cert required.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or cyber-related field from an accredited college or university and ten years of experience.
• Strong Linux/Unix experience required, with command line experience, preferably Red Hat 8 and 9 experience.
• Extensive experience with Radiant Mercury.
• Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with CDS architecture, dataflow design and rule set validation.
• Experience performing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing for Radiant Mercury.
• Experience working with Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and experience with XACTA requirements.
• Basic networking experience/knowledge.
• Ability to perform installations independently immediately upon coming onboard.
• Ability to become a Trusted Agent within 6 months after receiving training and TS/SCI.
• Ability to work independently and follow written step-by-step instructions.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Candidate must be comfortable being onsite (no remote work) with travel up to 25%.
Preferred:
• Experience with Navy Command and Control systems preferred.
