We are seeking an experienced Linux professional to manage, maintain, and enhance our Linux-based infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments. This role involves administering Linux/UNIX servers and workstations in virtualized settings, overseeing system performance and security, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and availability of all Linux systems. You will work on migrations from Solaris to Linux, troubleshoot issues across Linux and Windows servers, and manage NAS/SAN storage and virtualization technologies. The position requires strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and Perl to support automation and tool development. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining Linux operating systems and related software, designing and improving tools for the Linux environment, performing backups and recovery operations, and documenting system configurations and updates.
