IT Systems Administrator – Azure Infrastructure

Knoxville, TN | Hybrid

A well established organization is seeking an IT Systems Administrator II to oversee and operate mission-critical Azure infrastructure within a regulated environment. This role carries direct responsibility for infrastructure stability, security, and reliability across production systems.

The ideal candidate brings hands on Azure IaaS experience, sound infrastructure judgment, and a strong security mindset. This is an operations focused role for professionals accustomed to owning production environments—not end user support.
Must-Have Experience

  • Strong Azure IaaS hands-on experience (VMs, networking, storage, backups) 
  • Experience supporting production infrastructure environments 
  • Understanding of cloud security at the infrastructure level 
  • Ability to design, operate, and troubleshoot cloud systems
  • AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) – required or willingness to obtain

Ability to obtain a 6C Public Trust clearance is required. An initial onsite presence is expected, with hybrid flexibility thereafter.
Technologies: Microsoft Azure (IaaS: VMs, VNETs, NSGs, VPN, Load Balancer), Azure Storage & Backup, Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud, Terraform/Bicep/ARM, Azure DevOps, AKS, PowerShell/Python/Bash, Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, GPO, Intune, and M365 ecosystem tools.
