Job description

Xona is the navigational intelligence company bringing real-time, centimeter-level certainty to any device, anywhere on Earth.
With Pulsar - the world's most advanced PNT satellite infrastructure in Low Earth Orbit - Xona will offer a future-proof, backwards-compatible global positioning system optimized for absolute precision, superior power, and robust protection.
We're looking for an Sys Admin to support and scale Xona's internal systems across the G&A organization.
This role is focused on administration and configuration of SaaS tools, while supporting secure environments (Microsoft GCC High) and compliance execution (CMMC, ITAR, CUI).
You won't often be building systems from scratch or leading compliance programs - instead, you'll be the hands-on operator who ensures tools are running smoothly, access is properly managed, and compliance-related updates are implemented consistently.
What You'll Do
SaaS Systems Administration (Core Focus)
  • Administer and support core business systems (Microsoft 365 GCC High, collaboration tools, ticketing systems, etc.)
  • Manage users, permissions, groups, and access provisioning across tools
  • Maintain system configurations, workflows, and basic automations
  • Troubleshoot system issues and act as the primary point of contact for internal users
  • Support administration of systems across multiple entities and international operations, ensuring consistency in access, configuration, and compliance requirements

Microsoft GCC High & Secure Environment Support
  • Support administration of a mixed Windows/Linux Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environment
  • Execute access controls, conditional access policies, and device/user management
  • Help maintain secure collaboration environments for sensitive data (ITAR / CUI)
  • Partner with IT/security leadership on implementing security best practices including health monitoring, backup and recovery.

Compliance Execution (CMMC, ITAR, CUI)
  • Support ongoing CMMC compliance efforts by implementing required system updates and controls
  • Execute changes related to CUI data handling, access restrictions, and audit readiness
  • Maintain documentation, access logs, and system configurations for audits
  • Partner with external consultants and internal leads to ensure controls are properly applied
  • Help monitor and remediate compliance gaps across systems
  • Support implementation and ongoing use of security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM) by contributing logs, access data, and system context

Data & Systems Coordination
  • Support integrations and data consistency across tools (HRIS, finance systems, collaboration tools, etc.)
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity, user lifecycle processes, and system hygiene
  • Generate basic reports or exports to support compliance and business operations

What We're Looking For
Core Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience administering enterprise SaaS tools in a business environment
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Intune
  • Experience managing users, permissions, and workflows across multiple systems
  • Comfortable operating as a hands-on systems admin / analyst

Compliance & Secure Environments (Preferred)
  • Experience executing (not necessarily designing) compliance-related system changes
  • Experience with Linux administration via Ansible or similar tools
  • Familiarity with audit processes, access reviews, or control enforcement
  • Familiarity with identity & access management concepts (SSO, MFA, RBAC)

Nice to Have
  • Exposure to or experience working in environments with:
    • CMMC / NIST 800-171 controls
    • ITAR or export-controlled data
    • CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information)
  • Experience working alongside or supporting ERP systems (without owning them)
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
  • Experience with Mac OS administration and/or MDM
  • Experience supporting systems across multiple entities and/or international teams is a plus
  • Familiarity with external threat monitoring or incident response workflows
