The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing enterprise Linux environments and supporting storage, backup, security, and patching systems. This role requires hands-on expertise with IBM Enterprise Storage, Veritas NetBackup, and vulnerability management tools, along with a solid understanding of system hardening and package management. Responsibilities: • Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems in a production environment • Manage and support IBM Enterprise Storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veritas NetBackup for enterprise backup and recovery operations • Perform system patching and package management using YUM repositories • Execute and remediate vulnerability scans using Nessus, ensuring compliance with security standards • Support and maintain STE/STIN processes and environments (as applicable to organizational standards) • Implement and maintain system security configurations, including NSF frameworks/policies • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure upgrades, audits, and incident response • Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and compliance requirements Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, or similar) • Experience with IBM Enterprise Storage systems • Strong knowledge of Veritas NetBackup (NetBackup Administration) • Experience with Nessus vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows • Proficiency with YUM package management and patching strategies • Familiarity with STE/STIN processes and NSF-related security frameworks • Solid understanding of Linux security, system hardening, and compliance practices • Strong troubleshooting and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) Preferred Qualifications: • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent certification • Experience in enterprise environments with high availability and disaster recovery requirements • Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or similar) • Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments Key Skills: • Linux Administration • Storage & Backup Management • Security & Compliance • System Monitoring & Performance Tuning • Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis • Automation & Scripting Clearance:
