Job description

Are you a Linux professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex application issues rather than managing infrastructure? We’re partnering with an established technology company seeking a Linux Support Engineer to support enterprise communication platforms in production.

In this role, you’ll investigate application behavior, analyze system logs, troubleshoot Linux environments, and work directly with customers and engineering teams to resolve complex production issues. If you enjoy root cause analysis and solving challenging technical problems, this could be an excellent fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot enterprise applications running in Linux production environments
  • Investigate application, system, and networking issues to determine root cause
  • Analyze logs, processes, services, and system performance
  • Support software deployments, upgrades, patches, and production changes
  • Troubleshoot SIP, VoIP, and enterprise communication platforms
  • Capture and analyze packet traces using Wireshark and tcpdump
  • Collaborate with customers, engineering, and development teams to resolve production issues
  • Create technical documentation, implementation procedures, and support guides

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years supporting Linux-based enterprise applications
  • Strong Linux command-line troubleshooting skills
  • Experience diagnosing application performance and production issues
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with SIP, VoIP, or telecommunications technologies
  • Ability to interpret packet captures and system logs
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills

Preferred Experience

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar
  • RTP, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), or Diameter protocol
  • VMware or virtualization technologies
  • Bash, Python, or other scripting languages

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary: $120K–$130K
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Work on mission-critical enterprise communication platforms
  • Challenging, hands-on technical environment
  • Collaborative team with opportunities to solve complex production issues

If you’re passionate about Linux, application support, SIP/VoIP, and root cause analysis, we’d love to connect.
