Job description

Network Administrator
We are currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our IT team at Solid State Devices, Inc. In this critical mid-level role, primary responsibilities will be to upgrade, implement, and maintain the day-to-day operation of the organization's computer networks. This includes tasks like managing hardware and software, monitoring network performance, implementing network security, and assist in key software and platform deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and intranet systems.
  • Test and deploy new software platforms including user training.
  • Ensure optimal network performance and uptime.

Security Management
  • Implement firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and security related software tools.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, respond to breaches, and apply patches/updates.
  • Monitory and audit and recommend CMMC cybersecurity compliance procedures.

Hardware & Software Configuration
  • Install and configure routers, switches, and servers.
  • Set up network operating systems and applications.

User Support
  • Assist users with connectivity issues.
  • Manage access controls, permissions, and authentication.
  • Install and configure user applications

Documentation & Reporting
  • Keep records of network configurations, maintenance, and issues.
  • Prepare reports on network performance and incidents.

Typical Tools & Technologies
  • Hardware: Sophos, UniFi, Dell servers and switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and IP security cameras.
  • Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux/Unix.
  • Software: Wireshark, Windows Active Directory, Office 365
  • Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, FTP.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years in cyber security experience
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Certifications like:
    • CompTIA Network+
    • Cisco CCNA/CCNP
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
    • Juniper JNCIA

Education: Associate's / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 6 years work experience
Schedule: Full-time / Monday - Friday / 8:00am - 5:00pm
Annual Salary: $63K - $98K / Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule (Direct Deposit Available)
