IT System/Network Administrator

portfolio of core technology and products offer unique capabilities in the areas of high-performance

computing, artificial intelligence, cyber security as well as remote sensing applications.

Position Description

QCi is expanding its IT operations team and seeks a skilled System and Network

Administrator to handle endpoint support (MacOS, Windows, Linux), Microsoft 365 user

environments, and assist our fabrication team with daily IT infrastructure needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working with a distributed team of IT team members:

● Provide technical support to all QCi employees across a range of technologies including:

○ Endpoint Operating Systems (MacOS, Windows, Linux)

○ Email, Messaging, Authentication and popular 3rd party applications

● Work with our team in supporting users in our Microsoft 365 Environments

● Help design, procure and deploy infrastructure for offices, labs and fabrication facilities

● Troubleshooting operating system and networking issues

● Patching, imaging and lifecycle management of IT resources

Required Skills and Experience

Education and Experience

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field preferred but not required

● 3-5+ years in IT or related field

● Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+ and A+ are desirable

Skills

● Linux and Windows System Administration

● Windows Active Directory and other core applications and services

● Backup and Recovery, Disaster Recovery Planning and testing experience

● Familiarity with SOC-2, CIS, CMMC, SOX or other Compliance Frameworks

● LAN and WAN Networking experience. Layer 2 Switches, Firewalls, VLANs, cable

management and troubleshooting skills.

● Multi-protocol NAS filer experience (SMB, NFS and S3)

● Management experience with DNS, Registrar Interactions, Email/SMTP and other core

Internet systems

● Authentication, VPNs, Identity Providers, and Certificate Management

● Experience installing and supporting 3rd party applications

● Ability to work well with our technical and business staff
