We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to assist the IT organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 applications and Oracle Database 19c environments. You will partner closely with Development and Support teams to design, implement, and maintain Oracle EBS R12.2 best practices, ensuring high levels of resiliency, performance, scalability, and reliability across application environments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and recovery, database optimization and refinement, Oracle software installations and upgrades, error and failure resolution, auditing activities, and effective resource utilization. This role requires a collaborative mindset to support the continuous advancement of enterprise applications, development teams, and business units.
Description
• Install, configure, clone, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite multi-node R12.2 environments (Production, Test, Development, DR)
• Perform EBS patching including AD, TXK, and Oracle PSU/CPU patches in Production and Non-Production environments.
• Migrate and administer EBS databases and application stacks to Microsoft Azure cloud.
• Administer Oracle Databases (19c) supporting EBS.
• Perform database upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery using RMAN and CommVault technologies.
• Provide support and troubleshoot issues related to Oracle Workflow, Application Desktop Integrator, Forms, OAF & Weblogic.
• Monitor concurrent manager jobs and assess performance related issues.
• Implement security best practices and maintain confidentiality on managed systems.
• Monitor, manage and resolve incoming Service Desk tickets.
• Ensure that availability service level agreement targets are met for production applications.
• Manage tablespaces, users, roles, and security.
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining Disaster Recovery environments of Oracle EBS databases and conduct DR drills.
• Monitor and tune database performance using AWR, ASH, and SQL tuning.
• Analyze and correct issues in real time, owning problem resolution from beginning to end.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Develop shell or Perl scripts for automation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Provide trend and growth analyses to aid in capacity planning and resource management.
• Participate in software deployment process; partner with development and support teams throughout the SDLC process.
• Act as team lead on projects, assisting with development of project plans and task lists.
• Share domain and technical expertise with others
• Evaluate and recommend emerging database technologies and methodologies.

4 Year / Bachelors Degree
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, Engineering or equivalent work experience required
Experience
• Between 8 and 10 years of Database Administration and Oracle EBS Administration experience on Unix/Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS R12.2 multi-node architecture.
• Experience with EBS migration and administration on Azure or cloud platforms.
• Experience with upgrading EBS application and database tiers.
• Strong Unix/Linux administration skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools including Oracle Enterprise Manager(OEM).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Other Requirements
• Experience with Oracle Exadata and Automatic Storage Management strongly preferred
• Experience with Transparent Data Encryption(TDE) preferred.
• Experience with Oracle APEX extension for EBS strongly preferred.
• Experience with storage snapshot technologies for cloning strongly preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard set-up, administration and fail-over procedures required.
• Experience with Network File Systems and backup technologies including RMAN & CommVault required.
• Experience with Change Management tools and processes including Service Now, Quest Stat and Config Snapshot strongly preferred.
• Experience and knowledge in various database architectures and implementation and management of networked database computing structures and applications strongly preferred
