Role- Linux L3 Engineer

Location: Springfield, TX (Onsite)

Duration: Long term contact

IT professional with 10 + years of experience and a mix of technical and process skills.

•            Strong knowledge in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

•            Strong knowledge in RHEL 7/8/9 Linux Administration and Troubleshooting experience.

•            Good knowledge of Satellite server administration, support and troubleshooting.

•       Strong knowledge of Cluster server administration, support and troubleshooting.

•            Good knowledge with configuring Kickstart servers and Identity Management.

•            Good knowledge of hardware server.

•            Strong knowledge of User and Performance Management.

•            Strong knowledge of Cron.

•            Experience with RedHat Ansible/Chef/puppet configuration management tool.

•            Good knowledge in VMware and Virtualization product.

•            Knowledge Shell scripting (bash/ksh, PERL, Python)

•            Strong knowledge of DR and recovery of OS.

•            Strong network troubleshooting ability.

•            Strong understanding of Logical volume manager.

•            Strong understanding of OS patching and upgrade of OS.

•            Understanding of Yum and RPM and how to create application repositories and synchronization of application repos

•            Knowledge / use of security and password management software (selinux, ossec, sssd, LDAP, Kerberos)

•            Ability to provision bare metal installs, configure, operate and maintain systems

•            Strong troubleshooting skills of server booting issue.

•       Good knowledge of SAN migration.

•            Experience with monitoring tools such as BMC Patrol, SolarWind, Tivoli Monitoring

•            Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines

•            Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups.

•            Excellent communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
