Systems Administrator (Level 3)
Apex Systems is hiring for Level 3 Systems Adminisrators with a large government and aerospace supporting client in Oklahoma City, OK!
Position requires a currently active, DoD-issued Interim Secret Security Clearance or higher.

Location: 100% on-site in Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule/Shift: It is a 9/80 work shift (44 hours Monday-Friday one week, 36 hours Monday-Thursday the following week)
Pay Rate: $38-44/hour (depending upon experience)
Contract Type/Duration: W2 Contract; Long-term Rolling
Position Overview
The Level 3 Systems Administrator is a senior technical role responsible for end-to-end support, design, and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure. This position serves as the highest escalation point for complex technical issues and plays a critical role in configuration, change, and release management while acting as a technical representative to customers and program leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide end-to-end hardware and software support for:
    • Windows and Unix/Linux servers
    • High Performance Computing (HPC) systems
    • Development, production, and application server environments
    • Desktop systems and supporting infrastructure
    • Network systems
  • Lead and execute configuration, change, and release management activities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation of complex system issues
  • Manage asset lifecycle, including tracking, maintenance, and disposition
  • Implement, enforce, and maintain compliance with client and customer technical standards
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation point and subject matter expert
  • Develop deep program and customer knowledge to effectively represent CNO services
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, engineers, and management
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Execute tasks and projects as directed by Management
Requirements:
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification (required prior to start)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant systems administration experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with:
    • Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 (required)
    • Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 (preferred)
    • VMware virtualization platforms (ESX 5.1 or higher)
    • Active Directory administration
    • Group Policy Object (GPO) deployment and troubleshooting
    • HP server hardware
  • Strong understanding of enterprise server, network, and infrastructure environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience administering server roles such as SQL, Web, and Exchange
  • Experience with:
    • WSUS
    • SAN technologies
    • NetBackup or enterprise backup solutions
  • Experience writing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation
  • Prior experience supporting classified or regulated environments
