Senior Data Analyst - 12 months FTC

The Senior Data Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business stakeholders, analytics, and data engineering at MECCA. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality analysis, scalable reporting solutions, and well-structured data models that enable data-driven decision making across the organisation.

Building on core analytical capability, the Senior Data Analyst owns more complex problem solving and is expected to translate business requirements into robust analytical solutions. This includes developing Tableau dashboards, contributing to data modelling in DBT, and working closely with engineers to ensure data assets are fit for purpose.

The role combines strong analytical thinking with technical capability and stakeholder engagement, acting as a key connector between business needs and platform capability. The Senior Data Analyst also supports the uplift of analytics standards, tooling, and ways of working across the team.

The Role You Could Play:

  • Lead advanced data analysis to deliver actionable insights and support strategic business decision-making.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions aligned to business metrics and standards.

  • Develop and maintain data models using DBT and collaborate with Data Engineering teams to optimise Snowflake data structures and pipelines.

  • Translate business requirements into clear analytical and technical solutions while managing stakeholder expectations and priorities.

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy through testing, validation, and best practice data modelling approaches.

  • Drive continuous improvement across analytics, reporting, and data processes, including exploration of advanced analytics and AI opportunities.

  • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in analysis, visualisation, collaboration, and delivery standards.

What You Will Bring:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

  • Advanced SQL and data manipulation skills

  • Experience with Snowflake will be highly regarded, we will also consider Redshift, DataBricks or anything similar

  • Experience building scalable dashboards in Tableau

  • Working knowledge of DBT and modern ELT practices

  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and semantic layers

  • Ability to translate between business and technical stakeholders

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proactive, outcome-focused mindset with commercial awareness
