What is a linen assistant?

Linen Assistants are support staff who work primarily in healthcare, hospitality, or laundry facilities, responsible for managing and distributing clean linens such as sheets, towels, and uniforms. To thrive as a Linen Assistant, you need attention to detail, basic organizational skills, and the ability to perform routine manual tasks, usually supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with laundry equipment, inventory management systems, and safe handling procedures is typically required. Reliability, teamwork, and good communication help someone excel in this role. These skills ensure efficient linen distribution, maintain hygiene standards, and support smooth operations in healthcare or hospitality settings.
