Job description

Linehaul Specialist

As a Linehaul Specialist, you will assist with activities related to the management of Purchased Transportation and National Partnership Line Haul operations. You will be responsible for creating, processing, and approving invoices as it relates to Purchased Transportation and National Partnership Line Haul operations and assist with processing payroll for Company Linehaul Drivers.

Assist with managing the effective use of Purchased Transportation. Monitor performance measures for vendors and take corrective action when necessary. Assist with managing the Linehaul process between the Company and its National Partners. Monitor performance measures and take corrective action when necessary. Responsible for tracking Purchased Transportation dispatches/miles and is responsible for the accurate and timely payment of Purchased Transportation invoices. Process and approve all overweight citations on a weekly basis. Tracks Purchased Transportation and National Partnership Linehaul expenses. Provide the Finance Department with weekly estimates of these expenses. Assist with the processing of payroll for Company Linehaul Drivers on a weekly basis. Responsible for making recommendations to add and remove Purchased Transportation drivers and making recommendations to change National Partnership Linehaul Schedule. Interact with Central Dispatch, Finance, Fleet Services, and field operations via phone and email on a daily basis. Interact with vendors and partnership associates on a daily basis.

For this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, a minimum of 1 year of Linehaul or Less Than Truckload (LTL) operations experience.
