Job description

Seeking an experienced professional to deliver high-quality care in radiation therapy services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, committed to patient safety, and ready to contribute expertise in a collaborative environment. This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, supported by a dedicated team utilizing advanced technology.
Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • No weekends or call responsibilities
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Illinois IEMA division
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as R.T.(R)(ARRT)
  • Prior experience operating a Varian Trilogy linear accelerator
  • Proficiency with Aria and Epic electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with patients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, maintaining accuracy and compassion
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician directives and clinical protocols
  • Accurately operate Varian Trilogy linear accelerator systems
  • Review and follow treatment plans, schedules, and documentation within Aria and Epic EMR platforms
  • Ensure patient safety, monitor responses, and provide support throughout treatment courses
  • Collaborate closely with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and fellow therapists to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Maintain detailed treatment records and perform quality assurance checks on equipment
  • Adhere to safety regulations, infection control, and departmental standards, including required grey scrub attire
