Job purpose
Alpine Air is currently seeking a Ramp Agent to be located at their Salt Lake City, UT company site. The Ramp Agent will be responsible for all ground servicing of the aircraft, including loading and unloading of baggage and cargo and fueling the aircraft. Work is performed outside, in all weather conditions.
Duties and responsibilities
The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Observe safety and FAA regulations
  • Transferring cargo from vehicles to cargo planes
  • Parking, towing, moving, fueling, and marshalling arriving and departing aircrafts
  • De-icing the aircraft and GPU starting the aircraft
  • Providing shuttle service for crew and assist with baggage
  • Practice safe lifting methods

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
  • Preferred candidates will possess private pilot's license
  • Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds to shoulder height
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Be available for flexible schedule depending on aircraft arrivals and departures and cargo load
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Required to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Working conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work for this position is performed outside, regardless of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position is a Part-Time position. Paid Time Off, eight (8) paid holidays per year, and 401k with generous employer match are available immediately upon employment.
