What is a line server?

Line servers are food service workers responsible for serving food to customers along a cafeteria or buffet line. They portion and plate food, answer questions about menu items, and ensure that serving stations are clean and well-stocked. Line servers play a critical role in maintaining food safety standards and providing efficient customer service in settings like schools, hospitals, and restaurants.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a line server, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Line Server, you need basic food safety knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to follow portion guidelines, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent.
