Job description

The Program Director is responsible for all activities encompassing the administrative, operational, and patient care functions of the clinical program and services. The Director provides strategic & operational leadership and sound decision-making to ensure that the goals and objectives of the program's strategic & operational plans are achieved and aligned with the corporate strategic plan.
Working in partnership with the Vice President, Executive Director Medical Heads of Service, Chiefs, Managers, Professional Practice leaders, researchers and other internal and external stakeholders, the Director ensures the provision of safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care, research and education.

The Director is accountable for strategic planning, quality and patient experience, access and flow, operational performance, human resources, financial stewardship, program development, and regional system integration. This includes operating within funded volumes and resources, supporting quality-based procedure performance where applicable, and balancing emergent, urgent and scheduled care needs across the portfolio. In alignment with the Hospital's vision, mission, & values, portfolio responsibilities may evolve over time in response to strategic initiatives, program growth, service realignment, or changes in leadership accountability.

1. ย  ย  ย Master's Degree in a relevant discipline.

2.ย ย ย ย ย  Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership and line management experience.

3.ย ย ย ย ย  Previous clinical experience in a relevant health-related field.

4.ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrated ability to lead clinical excellence, innovation, education and research.

5.ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrated strategic, analytical and decision-making abilities.

6.ย ย ย ย ย  Experience leading strategic program development.

7.ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrated leadership in regional and provincial system integration.

8.ย ย ย ย ย  Excellent communication, relationship building and change leadership skills.

9.ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrated scholarly and/or professional activity

10. ย  ย  Strong business, financial and operational acumen
