Job Description

The Helper is responsible for supporting key operations within the waste management and recycling industry. This role contributes to the organization’s success through strong execution, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to safety, service quality, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently assist the driver in picking up trash and disposing of it in the truck.
  • Operate lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery when needed.
  • Assist the driver with backing up the truck in tight spaces or difficult environments.
  • Perform heavy lifting and assist with sorting and loading materials.
  • Navigate through streets, alleyways, highways, and construction sites.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure proper disposal of trash and recyclables in the truck's designated areas.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Physical activity including heavy lifting fast-paced walking, and climbing in and out of the truck.
  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 70+ pounds throughout a typical shift.
  • Ability to operate lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a dedication to safety.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours.
