Job Title: Cook & Prep-cooks
Location: Tucson, AZ and Surrounding Areas
Pay Range: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour (varies by event and experience)
Employment Type: Part-Time | On-Call | Non-Exempt


Position Overview

The Party Staff is seeking experienced Line Cooks to support a variety of hospitality and culinary operations throughout the Tucson metro area. Assignments include catering events, hotels, corporate dining programs, universities, private events, and banquet kitchens.

This role is ideal for culinary professionals who enjoy flexible scheduling, diverse kitchen environments, and consistent opportunities to work with respected hospitality teams.


Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to client recipes and service standards
• Set up and maintain cook and prep stations efficiently
• Assist with food prep, batch cooking, plating, and service execution
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines
• Maintain professionalism in fast-paced kitchen environments
• Collaborate effectively with chefs, kitchen leadership, and BOH teams


Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year professional kitchen experience preferred (restaurant, banquet, catering, corporate dining, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and culinary fundamentals
• Reliable transportation to travel to various client locations across the Tucson area
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
• Professional kitchen attire required (chef coat, chef pants, non-slip shoes; knife kit optional)
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
