Ludico is an exciting new restaurant concept from Tribeca Hospitality Group, bringing together fresh, vibrant, and transportive European flavors in an elevated yet approachable dining experience.

We are seeking dependable, organized, and passionate Prep Cooks to join our opening culinary team. This role is essential to the success of our kitchen by ensuring ingredients are prepared accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards before every service.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and is committed to supporting the culinary team through exceptional preparation, organization, and consistency.

Position Summary

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, organizing workstations, and supporting the culinary team to ensure seamless daily operations. Working closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs, and Line Cooks, this position plays a vital role in maintaining Ludico's commitment to culinary excellence.

Food Preparation & Kitchen Operations

  • Prepare vegetables, meats, seafood, sauces, stocks, dressings, and other ingredients according to established recipes and specifications.
  • Wash, peel, chop, slice, portion, marinate, and prepare ingredients for service.
  • Assist with the preparation of fresh pasta, breads, and other specialty items as directed.
  • Accurately measure and portion ingredients while maintaining recipe consistency.
  • Ensure prep lists are completed accurately and on time.
  • Organize and maintain prep stations throughout each shift.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and properly storing products.
  • Support Line Cooks and culinary leadership with daily operational needs.
  • Assist with banquet, private dining, and special event preparation as needed.

Teamwork & Professionalism

  • Work collaboratively with all members of the culinary team.
  • Communicate effectively to support efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Follow direction from culinary leadership while contributing to a respectful and team-oriented workplace.
