Job description

Position Overview:
The Linde Gas United States (LGUS) division of LINDE, Inc. is currently seeking Instrumentation/electrical /Maintenance Technician in Hawkins, TX. This position requires the ability to work independently and with a team to perform a wide variety of skilled I&E/maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, and repair Facility equipment.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Perform instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and Calibrations to include but not limited to low voltage electrical (up to 600V), transmitters, PLC's, Temperature and flow measurements.
  • Perform maintenance and calibrations on process analyzers
  • Uses a wide variety of hand, power, measurement, and machine tools to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Closely follow SMP/SOP's and all safety policies and procedures
  • Disassembly/assembly of rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, etc. to repair/replace bearings, gears, seals, structural components and the like.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment instruction manuals, drawing, and blueprints, SWD's and electrical one lines.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment and systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • In addition to the Hawkins facility, the technician will be required to also aid the Garland, TX and Fort Worth facilities as needed.
  • They will also work closely with the Garland and Fort Worth Technicians who support Hawkins as well.
  • Utilizing multiple Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), plan and execute maintenance activities including procurement of parts, supervision of maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow up required documentation.
  • Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
  • Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support startup/shutdown operations of plant process
  • Supervise safety compliance and work activities of contractors
  • Communicate to management effectively of arising issues

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • High School education, associate's degree a plus
  • I&E experience/ certification preferred
  • Mechanical maintenance experience or aptitude a plus
  • 3+ years' experience in an industrial production environment
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Welding and HVAC experience a plus.
  • On-Call ability required within 24/7 operation environment.
  • Some travel for training required
