We are currently seeking to hire a PHONE SERVICE TECHNICIAN at our location in Michigan City, Indiana.

Job Summary

As a member of the Service team, the Phone Service Technician will provide customer technical phone support for the Vanair product line.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical product phone support for our customers
  • Maintain accurate records of service cases and troubleshooting steps taken by entering them into the computer
  • Work with the Warranty Administrator when warranty parts are needed to ensure timely repairs are held to a schedule
  • Willing to be cross-trained for repairing and reconditioning Vanair products in-house
Job Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience
  • Self-starter, organized and punctual
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must possess a general mechanical aptitude, physical strength, and hand dexterity for working with hand tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good electrical aptitude (12V and 120V) for machinery and mechanical devices
  • Must be able to work in a high-stress environment, operate as a team, and interface with other departments
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner with no supervision 
  • This requires mechanical aptitude, physical strength, the continuous use of hands including grasping, pushing, and pulling, as well as maneuvering inside, around, and underneath vehicles regularly.
