Job Summary:
The bottle prep Technician is responsible for receiving, organizing, preparing bottle order according client need as per standard laboratory procedures. The role plays a critical part in ensuring order send as per schedule and maintain traceability and supporting smooth bottle order workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process bottle orders within the LIMS and assemble customized sample kits for client projects. Manage shipping logistics and maintain an organized inventory of kits and laboratory supplies.
    • Receive samples from customers and log them into the LIMS.
    • Check and record samples conditions, inform project manager or client, if necessary, of any discrepancies. Ensure samples are properly stored. Inform analysts of samples that require immediate attention for analysis.
    • Receive supplies, answer phones to respond to customer inquiries and transfer calls to the appropriate staff.
    • Have a working knowledge of the A & B QA Plan. Perform tasks and maintain records as assigned by supervisor, QAD, or management.
    • Responsible for assuring that the housekeeping in their work areas is adequate to prevent contamination of samples and to minimize fire and safety hazards.
    • Be able to understand and follow EPA and other environmental protocols and procedures. Ensure that all work is generated in compliance with the A & B QA Plan. Perform all work according to written SOPs.
    • Provide the QA Manager, Laboratory Manager, Supervisor and/or Technical Manager with immediate notification of quality problems.

Required Skills
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or relevant lab experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a laboratory or production environment is a plus

Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced laboratory environment
  • May require use of PPE (lab coat, gloves, goggles, etc.)
  • Exposure to chemical fumes, biological samples, or noisy equipment
  • May involve working shifts, weekends, or overtime depending on lab workload
