Position Summary:

As a Business Systems Analyst III you will serve as a senior individual contributor within Digital Technology Solutions, leading requirements analysis and solution design across NeoGenomics' laboratory technology portfolio The role serves as a primary business analyst for the NeoLink clinical pathology platform and supports broader laboratory systems, including LIMS, ELN,SDMS, and instrument integration workflows The role partners with laboratory operations, medical, clinical, and technology teams to translate complex business and operational needs into functional requirements, system designs, and validated solutions The Business Systems Analyst III also supports enterprise process improvement and business transformation initiatives, mentors junior analysts, contributes to solution and architectural decisions, and represents Digital Technology Solutions in cross functional forums, including the Change Control Board and platform steering committees

Responsibilities:

  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation for complex initiatives across NeoLink, LIMS, and adjacent lab systems Own user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and traceability from business need to deliver solution
  • Partner with Software Engineering, Architecture, and Quality teams to shape solution designs Evaluate build versus configure versus buy tradeoffs, and document architectural decision records for significant choices
  • Conduct current state and future state workflow analysis across molecular, flow cytometry, FISH, and cytogenetics pathology workflows Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and clinical operational efficiency
  • Serve as the primary business analyst point of contact for laboratory operations leadership, medical directors, and pathology teams Facilitate design workshops, drive prioritization discussions, and manage stakeholder expectations across competing demands
  • Coordinate requirements and design work across integrated platforms including NeoLink, NeoLIMS, Sapio, instrument interfaces, HL7 messaging, and downstream
    billing and reporting systems
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to ensure solutions meet CAP/CLIA validation requirements, HIPAA controls, SOX ITGC where applicable, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records requirements Contribute to computer system validation (CSV) documentation and testing

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field required Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, with at least 3 years in a clinical laboratory environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Deep experience with LIMS platforms, laboratory workflows, and instrument integration patterns
  • Demonstrated experience leading requirements analysis on complex, multi-team initiatives from discovery through post-implementation
  • Strong facility with process modeling and requirements management tools including Jira,Confluence, Visio, and Lucidchart
  • Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies, Agile and hybrid delivery models, and DevOps practices
  • Understanding of software development concepts including RESTful APIs, JSON, relational databases, HL7 messaging, and integration patterns
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting clinical laboratories including
  • CAP/CLIA, HIPAA, SOX, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11
