Who You Are…

As Controls Project Leader, you are primarily responsible for new construction and retrofit projects in commercial buildings, hospitals, and industrial facilities. This role performs complex integrations and oversees Building Automation System (BAS) installations and upgrades.

This Position…

Some examples of the work you might do includes:

  • Assumes overall financial, schedule, and technical responsibility for assigned control projects.
  • Leads project teams that include a mixture of professional staff, craft labor, outside consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Develops and updates schedules to ensure project resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Supports sales efforts by taking part in estimating, cost reviews, and interviews for project proposals.
  • Tracks, manages, and processes change orders on active projects.
  • Ensures client expectations are met, and takes a lead role in developing client relationships.
  • Takes an active role in technical functions, such as project engineering, programming, integration, system startup and commissioning, generation of BAS graphics, owner training, and project record documents.
  • Establishes and maintains open communication with clients, business partners, and other internal stakeholders, in order to keep all essential project activities running smoothly.
  • Assists with the development and improvement of related processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Reinforces safe work practices, and ensures all safety requirements are adhered to, in accordance with the safety program of the Company.
  • Participates in bi-weekly project cost reviews.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You Need…

  • 5+ years of HVAC/R controls experience.
  • Basic technological proficiency and familiarity with iPad operation.
  • Previous experience with troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and programming building controls systems.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Niagara AX and/or N4 Certification.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Work tasks may occasionally necessitate travel to local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to outside weather and conditions typically associated with a construction site.

Physical Demands:

  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
