Job description

Overview

Lutron is looking for a dynamic Commercial Channel Sales professional to spearhead our Commercial and Electrical Wholesale (EW) growth across the Caribbean. Based in Puerto Rico, you will be the primary driver of market demand, specification, and revenue. This is a role for a sales professional who can navigate the technical complexities of commercial construction while energizing a diverse channel of dealers and distributors. 


Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with "Project Influencers," including commercial architects, electrical consultants, lighting designers, and project management consultants.
  • Position Lutron as the standard for commercial building requirements, ensuring our solutions are written into the initial design phases.
  • Proactively grow the specification pipeline year-over-year, utilizing Salesforce (SFDC) to track progress from concept to completion.
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential projects across key segments, including Grade-A office towers, Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), retail, and mixed-use developments.
  • Drive the sales of Lutron’s full commercial portfolio, including lighting controls, automated shading, and intelligent lighting solutions.
  • Execute targeted business development plans to increase the market share of Lutron’s newest innovations and technology solutions.
  • Train and enable dealers and distributors to confidently sell, demonstrate, and support Lutron’s commercial portfolio.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve both total revenue targets and specific strategic product goals.
  • Work closely with Lutron Design teams, Systems Sales Engineers (SSE), and Product Leaders to provide seamless customer experience and resolve technical project hurdles.
  • Gather and report field intelligence on competitor activity and regional trends to support long-term corporate strategy.
  • Monitor key account metrics and provide regular, data-driven reports to senior management. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2.80 GPA required; If you have 5 or more years of total work experience, degree is not required
  • 5–10 years of channel sales / indirect sales experience 
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time throughout the Caribbean territory
  • Proven track record of scaling revenue through channel partners
  • Experience driving product portfolio adoption and attach-rate growth
  • Proficient in Salesforce (SFDC) for pipeline and forecast management
  • Proven partner engagement, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Caribbean markets and premium building solutions (preferred)
  • Personal vehicle and Driver's License required
