We are seeking a Lighting Electrical Engineer to join our Transportation team in Orlando. The ideal candidate will have expertise in lighting design and analysis for roadway infrastructure projects.

  • Develop construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation-related lighting systems
  • Perform lighting design and analysis for roadway and infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Provide recommendations for design optimization and energy efficiency
  • Coordinate with clients, utility companies, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, and supporting documentation
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
    • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NESC, and local regulations.
    • Proficiency in engineering software such as ETAP, AGI32, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • 8 to 15 years of experience with FDOT and Expressway roadway lighting projects
    • Experience with site lighting, aesthetic lighting, voltage drop calculations, and lighting justification reports
    • Familiarity with utility coordination and permitting processes
    • Strong experience in lighting plan development
