MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT

Job Title:                    Site Maintenance II

Wage:                          $25.45 (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies)

Hours/shift:                1st Shift (Subject to change)

Days Off:                    Varies (Subject to change)

General Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Site II Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills in carpentry, general repairs, door installation and repair, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, fire alarm and suppression systems, specialized door systems, material handling equipment, lighting maintenance, compactor maintenance, welding, and customer service. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and safety of all building systems and equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Carpentry and General Repairs: Perform carpentry tasks and advanced building repairs, including drywall repair, roof and gutter repair, and remodels.
  2. Door Installation and Repair: Repair and install doors, door magnets, and closers. Troubleshoot and replace motors for door blower systems.
  3. Masonry: Repair and replace brick or tile as needed.
  4. Plumbing: Troubleshoot and repair clogged drains, toilets, and urinal flush valves.
  5. Electrical Work: Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, including 120/277-volts single phase and 480-volts, 3-phase motors.
  6. Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain fire alarm and suppression systems.
  7. Specialized Door Systems: Repair and troubleshoot Rytec doors, truck, and rail dock doors.
  8. Material Handling Equipment: Operate material handling equipment and power lifts inside and outside the plant.
  9. Lighting Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and replace light fixtures throughout the plant.
  10. Compactor Maintenance: Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on trash and cardboard compactors.
  11. Welding: Perform sanitary welding and metal fabrication tasks as required.
  12. Hand Tools: Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  13. Customer Service: Interact with building occupants and address their maintenance needs.
  14. Safety Protocols: Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment and power lifts.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Literacy utilizing Maximo and other necessary software
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Commitment to following safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

  • This Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
