Are you a proactive problem-solver who thrives on keeping a facility's critical infrastructure running smoothly?

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our building operations and physical plant. In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility, maintaining everything from commercial electrical and plumbing systems to structural components and building automation. If you have a passion for hands-on troubleshooting, a "safety-first" mindset, and a diverse toolkit of building trades skills, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Infrastructure & Repairs: Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair building systems, including commercial plumbing, electrical distribution panels, interior/exterior lighting, overhead doors, loading docks, and structural elements.
  • HVAC & Building Controls: Monitor, maintain, and perform minor repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as Building Management Systems (BMS), to ensure optimal energy efficiency and climate control.
  • Preventative Maintenance Strategy: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance routines across all facility assets, maintain compliance logs, and track inventory for maintenance supplies and replacement parts.
  • General Building Maintenance: Perform comprehensive facility upkeep, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, flooring maintenance, and general architectural repairs.
  • Operational & Contractor Support: Operate forklifts and elevated platforms to assist with facility projects, oversee on-site contracted services, and support internal departmental relocations.
  • Safety & Code Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, local building codes, fire safety protocols, and company environmental policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of proven hands-on experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-site facilities maintenance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong foundation in building trades, including electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, carpentry, and basic HVAC operations.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), commercial lighting controls, and facility safety infrastructure.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex building issues independently and execute cost-effective, durable solutions.
  • Communication & Professionalism: A dependable team player who communicates clearly across departments and maintains accountability for facility uptime.
  • Education: High school diploma or trade school certification in a relevant building trade.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Manual Dexterity: Regularly required to use hand and power tools, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work indoors and outdoors across various weather conditions, as well as in confined spaces or at elevated heights using lifts.
  • Lifting: Must be able to periodically lift and move materials, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
