Job description

Janitor
This is a long-term, full-time position supporting the DuPont Newark E&I Site. Work Schedule - Varies, occasional overtime is required.
General Description
Under direct supervision, assigned daily work, must complete weekly cleaning records. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Job Duties:
The purpose of the janitor is to keep the facility sanitary and clean by:
-Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, including fixtures; removing trash, replenish rest room supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, and soap)
-Clean break rooms and refill supplies.
-Sweep, mop and buff floors and steps; strip and wax floors as needed
-Vacuum floors and clean carpets as needed
-Window cleaning
-Clean, dust and wipe furniture; empty / clean wastebaskets and trash containers
-Assist with set up and cleanup of events; including moving furniture
-Watch for safety issues (trip hazards, leaks / spills / lighting issues., etc.)
-Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the site supervisor and ultimate direction from the site contract administrator. Reads and interprets instructions and plans work activities.
-Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

-Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Pre-hire physical required
-Reliable transportation
-Ability to lift 50 pounds
-Upholds all company expectations for Safety, Health, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
