Location: Fort Collins, Colorado area (Limited multi-site travel required)

Job Type: Full-Time: 35–40 hours per week (Includes a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours residential emergencies)

Compensation: $17.00 – $20.00 / hour (Depending on experience)

Benefits: This position offers 7 Paid Holidays per year, as well as Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick leave accrued in accordance with Colorado law.

Job Summary

Lighthouse is seeking a dedicated, structured professional to serve as a full-time Program Specialist and Women’s House Manager. This dual role focuses on overseeing daily house operations, conducting compliance screenings, and managing the participant lifecycle from intake to program completion. While primarily stationed at our women's facility, this position requires occasional travel to our other local program sites (including men's facilities) to assist with administrative and operational needs. As a faith-based program, this role also includes providing spiritual encouragement and leading structured, in-house group meetings.

Note: Lighthouse will fully fund and provide the required training for First Aid/CPR and Colorado QMAP certifications within the first 90 days of employment.

Because this role involves navigating a dynamic residential environment, you must be emotionally regulated, calm, and grounded in order to remain encouraging, supportive, and stable for others in their recovery journey. An exceptional candidate will model professional, clear, and proactive communication in all interactions with participants, families, and community partners, while demonstrating a highly organized, naturally efficient approach to a fast-paced environment where multitasking is a daily reality and interruptions are common.

Notice regarding Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications (BFOQs):  Due to the nature of the primary facility as an all-women's residential space, and because the essential duties at this location include conducting physical urinalysis (UA) testing and personal property/room searches, being female is a BFOQ for this position.

  • Due to the safety, liability, multi-site travel, and commercial auto insurance requirements of managing our facilities and transporting residents, being at least 25 years of age is a BFOQ for this position.

Background & Screening Requirements

Due to the nature of our program, the vulnerable population we serve, and our facility insurance requirements, final candidates must successfully complete the following prior to an official offer of employment:

  • Drug Screening: A pre-employment drug screening is required. Because Lighthouse is a strict sober living facility, we maintain a zero-tolerance, drug-and-alcohol-free workplace policy. This includes a mandatory negative screen for THC/marijuana, as an active lifestyle of total sobriety is a core operational requirement and essential to preventing triggers for our participants.
  • Background Check: A comprehensive criminal background check is required. Please note that certain criminal convictions—specifically involving violence, theft/financial fraud, exploitation, or sexual offenses—are automatic disqualifiers for this position.
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR): A clean driving record check is required to meet our commercial auto insurance mandates for resident transport.

Key Responsibilities

1. House Management & Compliance

  • Program Accountability: Monitor and enforce adherence to all house expectations, including curfews, mandatory attendance at weekly meetings, active employment maintenance, and sobriety.
  • Accountability Screening: Conduct random and scheduled Urinalysis (UA) testing and breathalyzers at the women's facility; document, track, and report all results daily to appropriate agencies. (Note: UA compliance testing is not required during visits to men's facilities).
  • Financial & House Tracking: Oversee the collection and documentation of monthly participant fees. Assign and inspect daily and weekly house chores to maintain facility cleanliness.
  • Multi-Site Travel & Transportation: Utilize a vehicle to safely assist with operations across multiple local facility sites, resident transport, or house errands as required.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide on-site crisis intervention, participate in the rotating after-hours on-call schedule for emergencies, mediate roommate conflicts, and maintain a calm, trauma-informed environment.

2. Admissions & Intake Processing

  • Screening & Selection: Conduct interviews (in-person and phone) with applicants, perform reference checks, and assist leadership in making informed admission decisions.
  • Onboarding & Intakes: Facilitate the formal intake process, including completing all paperwork, orientation, and performing mandatory belongings searches for contraband.
  • File Management: Create, organize, and maintain digital and physical participant files in compliance with confidentiality standards.

3. Administrative Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for phone calls, emails, and community inquiries.
  • Handle document preparation, accurate data entry, filing, scanning, and confidential document shredding.
  • Keep all administrative forms, admission packets, and intake folders fully stocked.
  • Coordinate community-building tools such as monthly bulletin boards, and organize birthday/sobriety anniversary cards for participants.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Gender: Female (Required due to residential privacy and physical UA testing mandates at the primary facility).
  • Minimum Age: Must be at least 25 years of age (Required for commercial auto insurance policy guidelines and multi-site travel).
  • Licensure: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record (MVR check required prior to hire).
  • Certifications: Must obtain First Aid/CPR and Colorado QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person) certifications within the first 90 days of employment (Lighthouse will pay for and provide this training). Pre-existing certifications are a plus.
  • Faith Alignment: Must be comfortable working within a faith-based environment and supportive of Lighthouse’s Christian values and mission.
  • Sobriety Requirement: Must maintain a stable, active program of personal recovery. If in recovery, a minimum of one year of continuous, sustained sobriety is required.
  • Boundary Requirement: To maintain healthy professional boundaries, graduates of the Lighthouse program must have a minimum of 12 months passed since their successful program completion to be eligible for employment.
  • Professional Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document facility incidents objectively, communicate boundaries clearly and respectfully to participants, and maintain strict professional confidentiality at all times.
  • Professionalism: Proven ability to practice strong emotional regulation, maintain a highly professional demeanor, and establish firm boundaries with residents while displaying grace and love.
  • Preferred Experience: Pre-existing knowledge, experience, or certification in Trauma-Informed Care, peer support, or crisis de-escalation is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in typing, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Zoom. Basic working knowledge of Canva and QuickBooks Online is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and type for extended periods; ability to safely navigate stairs and stand/move frequently throughout the day to conduct facility rounds; ability to occasionally perform light housekeeping and lifting (under 50 pounds).
