Job description

Back 2 Health Physical Therapy is looking for a highly organized and outgoing individual to join our Physical Therapy Aide staff. You will assist and support the Physical Therapists with patients on the floor, while also help maintain general maintenance of the clinic.
Physical Therapy Aide Essential Functions:
  • Assist in the flow of patients in and out of the clinic
  • Assist in modality setups including: heat/ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, light therapy, Class IV Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, and traction.
  • Under the supervision of the Therapist, assist with therapeutic exercises and instruction and inform Therapists of patient responses to treatments.
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and follow-through with tasks
  • Ability to be self directed when necessary while strictly adhering to task priority and relevance.
  • Ability to judge good body mechanics is necessary
  • Must have taken a minimum of one anatomy, physiology, or kinesiology class in high school or college. Must have good understanding of posture and muscle groups. Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required. Current or planned enrollment to pursue a degree in a related clinical field is a plus. Bachelors Degree in related field a plus.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
  • Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
  • Ensuring all opening and closing checklists are completed each day
  • Helping make phone calls to patients to follow up and schedule when they haven't been in for treatment for a while
  • Hours towards clinical observation/experience for DPT/PTA/PA/Medical school graduate programs
Job Type: 
Full time hours expected to be 40 weekly.
Pay: 
$17-19 with potential increases based on performance after 90 day probationary period.
