About the role
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday // 10am-6pm
Sifted is looking for a highly motivated team member to join our commissary operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring food is properly packed, organized, labeled, and ready for delivery to our clients each day.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in the food service or hospitality industry while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You'll be joining a growing company with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, food safety, and exceptional client experience.
What you'll be doing
  • Pack and organize prepared food from the commissary for daily delivery
  • Load and stage food items inside refrigerated trucks for transport
  • Work inside refrigerated trucks, walk-in coolers, and freezer storage areas for extended periods of time
  • Conduct audits of food production from the kitchen prior to packing, ensuring all products meet quality standards and are properly labeled and dated
  • Support dietary packout processes by accurately preparing orders that meet specific dietary needs, including allergies and accommodations such as pescatarian, vegan, and low-carb
  • Conduct monthly inventory of dietary items in freezer and walk-in freezer storage areas
  • Ensure all food is packed accurately and meets quality, labeling, and dating standards
  • Assist with maintaining organization of commissary, staging, cooler, freezer, and packout areas
  • Support light cleaning duties, including dishwashing, trash removal, and general upkeep
  • Perform porter-style responsibilities to keep kitchen, storage, and packout areas clean and efficient
  • Communicate with team members and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude at all times

Our ideal candidate
  • Experience in food service, commissary, warehouse, porter, or similar environment preferred
  • Comfortable working in cold environments, including refrigerated trucks, walk-in freezers, and coolers
  • Able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time and lift/move up to 50 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail, especially around food quality, labeling, dating, allergens, and dietary needs
  • Organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to follow processes accurately and communicate clearly with the team
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
  • Committed to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Leads by example in attitude, punctuality, cleaning, and teamwork
