Job Title: Light Industrial AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Light Industrial Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality products by assembling components according to technical specifications, performing quality checks, and supporting an efficient, safe, and organized production process. This position works closely with a small team, operates hand and power tools and machinery, and helps maintain accurate production records while contributing to continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components and products accurately according to technical specifications, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Operate and maintain manufacturing tools, hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure finished products meet established company standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and report defects, malfunctions, or irregularities in the assembly process to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow, improve efficiency, and support production targets.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures and other gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly production, including quantities, time, and any issues encountered, and report progress to supervisors.
- Handle and move materials and finished products, including lifting and positioning heavy objects as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements and participating in team problem-solving.
Essential Skills- Experience with assembly, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and detailed assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in mechanical assembly, including working with mechanical components and fittings.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
- Ability to operate and monitor industrial and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in assembly work.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for precise assembly tasks.
- Ability to use measuring tools, such as tape measures, to verify dimensions.
- Capability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Effective problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in the assembly process.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in light industry, mechanical assembly, or industrial production is preferred.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to maintain accurate production records and follow documented procedures.
- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Work Environment

The position follows a Monday-Friday first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with optional overtime available on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Work takes place on the production floor using hand tools, power tools, and industrial machinery, and involves standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy objects. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with clear procedures and guidelines to maintain a productive and efficient workspace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
