LOCAL LIFTGATE DOCK TRUCK DRIVER

Minneapolis / St. Paul Metro Area


SAV Transportation Group is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Local Liftgate Dock Truck Driver to join our growing operations team.

This position involves local pickup and delivery of palletized freight throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and surrounding region. Drivers will operate liftgate-equipped dock trucks and must be comfortable handling freight using pallet jacks and hand carts.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a 26' liftgate dock truck
  • Load and unload freight using:
  • Electric pallet jack
  • Manual pallet jack
  • Two-wheel hand cart (dolly)
  • Deliver palletized and boxed freight to businesses, warehouses, retail locations, and distribution centers
  • Verify freight counts and delivery paperwork
  • Maintain excellent customer service and professionalism at all times
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Secure freight properly and maintain load integrity
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, and service issues
Qualifications
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum 2 year Verifiable Driving experience required
  • Experience operating pallet jacks and hand trucks required
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to safely move palletized freight using liftgate equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
