Job description

Snow King Mountain Resort is the iconic Mountain Resort located in the heart of beautiful Jackson Hole, WY. As a dual seasonal facility, it is home to many summer and winter family friendly attractions. The Snow King Team is looking for people with a love for the outdoors, a desire to learn, and a commitment to excellent service.

Job Description

Our lift operations and activity attendant supervisors work with management and hourly employees to facilitate the effective operation of the Lift Department. Assists with interdepartmental cooperation to enhance mountain operations by supervising more than one lift operator crews. Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities (But not limited to)
  • Demonstrates teamwork and support for management
  • Monitors lifts and personnel for compliance- this would include all signage and licensing, normal and evacuation procedures, opening, operating, and closing procedures
  • Oversees lift manuals and log books and all related documents
  • Participates in all phases of the lift operator's job- helps open, operate and close lifts as needed
  • Conducts and/or monitors training sessions and completes all training documentation needed by ASC and required
  • Very thorough and accurate on all paperwork and office duties as assigned
  • Exhibits support for Customer Service initiatives
  • Operates by the Guiding Principles
  • Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate opening and closing needs and special events
  • Ensure timely and accurate pay for all employees
  • Complete all ASC training requirements
  • Schedules and assigns work duties

Conducts disciplinary procedures and performance appraisals

  • Supervises performance of lift personnel in the areas of lift operation and guest relations
  • Responsible for compliance with mountain safety practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, Certificates & Licenses
  • Must possess excellent people and guest service skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be self-motivated and self-assured
  • Must speak, write and read excellent English
  • Experience managing employees preferred
  • Must be cooperative, independent and able to make decisions
  • Must be able to ski or snowboard
  • Must be willing to work daytime and late night shifts when needed.
  • Able to resolve conflict in a constructive manner
  • Lift knowledge and/or supervisory experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Lifting Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds
