Job description

Embark on an exciting journey as a Lift Operator, where you'll be at the heart of the action, ensuring the smooth and safe transportation of guests, while enjoying breathtaking mountain views and being an integral part of their magical Anakeesta experience.

Anakeesta is seeking Lift Operators that ensure the safety of guests while riding Anakeesta’s Chondola. Since you’re the first face our guests see as the start their mountaintop journey, it is important that our Lift Operators are smiling and full of energy! Our Lift Operators are also responsible for making sure guests understand how to load and unload from the lift chairs and cabins, safety is of utmost importance!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of all guests who board the Chondola.
  • Recognize and help those guests who require assistance with chairs and cabins.
  • Anticipate problems while loading and unloading by always watching guests closely.
  • Greet and engage every guest boarding the Chondola with a friendly, inviting, and informative attitude to provide a unique and memorable experience.
  • Operate the lift pedestals after certification to slow or stop the lift if necessary.
  • Ensure guests do not board the Chondola with food or drinks.
  • Maintain a complete overall awareness in the Chondola operating areas to ensure the safety of guests and employees alike while ensuring efficiency is maintained.
  • Assist in the daily set-up and shut-down procedures of the lift and operating areas.
  • Ensure proper operation of lift.
  • Monitoring of weather conditions and working with lift maintenance on weather protocols
  • Assist lift maintenance department with any needs.
  • Complete required daily logs and checklists
  • Monitor the operation of the Chondola continuously and notify the Lift Maintenance team and on-duty management team if unusual conditions occur.
  • Ensure proper set-up and efficiency of queueing area.
  • Answer guests’ inquiries as to park activities and special events
  • Assist in the recovery of lost or dropped items along lift line.
  • Ensuring work areas and lift line are clean and aesthetically pleasing by ensuring no debris are in the area (paper cups, candy wrappers, torn wristbands, sticks, leaves, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions including but not limited to rain, sun, heat, snow, extreme cold and wind without protection
  • Always maintain a professional, friendly, and positive attitude
  • Should be able to provide instructions guests
  • Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift 25 lbs., team lift up to 100 lbs; can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, crouch, and crawl
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
