QualDerm Partners is looking for a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team in North Wilkesboro. We are a leader in providing comprehensive skin and aesthetics wellness services, committed to delivering exceptional care in dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery. As a Dermatology Medical Assistant in North Wilkesboro, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and ensuring operational efficiency within our practice. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage patient scheduling and office communication effectively.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, medications, and appropriate skincare practices.
  • Keep examination rooms clean and adequately stocked with supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
