Position Summary: The Senior Director of Global Orphan Care provides overall leadership, strategic direction, and vision for the department, serving as an integrator and steward as the work grows in scope and complexity. This role ensures alignment across strategy, systems, people, and partnerships while cultivating a healthy, collaborative culture.

As the primary liaison with Executive leadership, the Senior Director communicates strategic priorities and team health, creates clarity, removes obstacles, and works cross-departmentally to enable Senior Managers and the broader team to lead and execute with excellence.

• Activelyparticipateson the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with other team members, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.
• Disciplesministry partnersand clients.
• Aligns team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team’s work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline’s Core Values

Responsible For

• Translating organizational vision into clear strategic intent.
• Establishing andmaintainingshared leadership rhythms.
• Ensuring integration across strategy, systems, and spiritual formation.
• Monitoring patterns across regions and roles toidentifyrisk or misalignment.
• Building andmaintainingexternal relationships such asLifeshape, similar ministries, and churches domestically.

Accountable For

• Mission alignment, strategic coherence, and long-term direction of Global Orphan Care.
• Overall health and sustainability of the department (culture, capacity, rhythms, resilience).
• Stewardship of budget, resources, and priorities.
• Final decision-making where clarity, alignment, or prioritization isrequired.
• Encourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children.
• Leads alongside Senior Managers and GOC Admin as a unified leadership team.
• Facilitates cross-role integration and collective discernment.
• Modelscollaborativedecision-making and healthy conflict resolution.

Support & Empowerment

• Coaches Senior Managers to lead with confidence and ownership.
• Encourages learning, experimentation, and adaptation within guardrails.
• Protects team capacity by addressing overload and role drift early.

Strategic Stewardship

• Holds the long-term view for sustainability andmissionfaithfulness.
• Serves asprimarybridge to Lifeline’s Executive Team.
• Integrates learning into ongoing strategic refinement.
• Safeguards the department’s identity, values, and mission.

• Assisting in agency-related events, including the annual staff retreat, the annual dinner, anniversary celebrations, across all Lifeline programs
• Maintains good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
• Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from the
• Encourages and supports church engagement efforts, including live presence opportunities, adoption information meetings, and biblical teaching on caring for vulnerable children.
• If qualified by the state, conduct home studies, post placement/adoption reports or other related adoption services for families in your geographical area when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or member of the Executive team

All roles at Lifeline are designed to function as a flexible, team-based position. While primary responsibilities are outlined, employees may be asked to support additional programs, service areas, or initiatives based on organizational needs, workload/caseload demands, and supervisor direction. Any additional duties will be consistent with the employee’s training, licensure, role classification, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status and will not fundamentally change the nature of the position.
