SCHEDULE:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 12:00-4:00 pm

Saturday 8:00 am-1:30 pm

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons at the pool. This role involves monitoring activities, enforcing rules, providing first aid, and responding to emergencies. The lifeguard also plays an essential part in maintaining a clean and safe environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Continuously monitor the pool area to identify potential dangers and ensure safety.
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the area.
  • Educate members about water safety practices.
  • Provide first aid and CPR when necessary.
  • Respond to emergencies such as drowning, injuries, or other incidents.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the swimming area and surrounding facilities.
  • Report any equipment issues or safety hazards to management.
  • Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and pool operations as required.
  • Participate in regular training and drills to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Educational Requirements and Experience: 
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Valid lifeguard certification (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA) which includes CPR, First Aid, and AED training.
  • Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
  • Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
