Job description

Terms of Employment
Hours vary based on need. Part-time, daytime, evening and weekend hours are available.
$15 per hour
$16.50 per hour for Head Lifeguard
$18.25 for Early AM shift
Purpose
The primary responsibility of the lifeguard is the safety of the aquatic facility users. The lifeguard must have the knowledge and ability to rescue an individual in danger and also possess the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to emergencies, injuries and accidents in the aquatic facility.
Qualifications
Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR Pro, First Aid and AED Certification. Experience in facility procedures, rules, regulations, swimming and water rescue, water safety and rescue equipment usage preferred. Must maintain the ability to perform skills required to pass the certifications. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and the general public, thus good oral and interpersonal communication skills are required. Ability to work with individuals of all ages.
