Job description

Jellystone Park Zion is seeking responsible and attentive Lifeguards to ensure the safety of all guests in our pool, water park, and aquatic areas. As a Lifeguard, you'll play a critical role in monitoring water activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding quickly to emergencies. This position is perfect for individuals who are safety-minded, enjoy working outdoors, and are passionate about creating a fun and secure environment for families.


Key Responsibilities:Guest Safety & Supervision:
  • Monitor all aquatic areas, including pools, water slides, lazy river, and splash pad, to ensure guest safety at all times.
  • Enforce park rules and water safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Respond to emergencies promptly and perform water rescues or administer first aid/CPR when necessary.
Facility Maintenance:
  • Inspect and ensure the cleanliness of pool decks, chairs, and water features before and after shifts.
  • Perform regular checks on pool equipment, such as slides, ladders, and drains, to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors immediately.
Customer Service:
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about park activities or aquatic areas.
  • Provide guidance to guests regarding proper use of water features and equipment.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other lifeguards and the pool operations team to ensure the safety and smooth operation of aquatic facilities.
  • Assist with park events or activities that involve water areas, such as foam parties or family pool games.
  • Certification:To be able to complete training for or Current Lifeguard Certification and CPR/First Aid Certification (training may be provided if necessary).
  • Strong swimming skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to remain alert and vigilant for extended periods of time.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, swim long distances, and perform water rescues.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak season schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:
