Job description

Lifeguard Position

Cherry Hills Country Club is currently seeking qualified candidates for part-time seasonal Lifeguards to help with the later part of the season. This position is for the months of August and September and will be primarily evenings and weekends. Lifeguards work in an upscale club pool environment providing excellent service to the members while maintaining a safe aquatics environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing members and guests with a fun aquatics experience.
  • Lifeguards will supervise members and their guests at the pool and deck areas ensuring the highest standards of safety are maintained.
  • Maintain a clean aquatics experience including but not limited to locker rooms, pool deck, furniture, and trash receptacles.
  • Lifeguards are a large part of the Aquatics team at Cherry Hills Country Club and are required to support the whole operation including but not limited to the Poolside Café and events. Many lifeguards will be involved in special event operations like family nights and holiday parties (e.g., Independence Day).
  • Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of all facility patrons, both in and out of the water, by preventing and responding to all emergencies in the pool and vicinity.

Requirements

Qualifications:

**All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Successful applicants must possess the ability to meet and pass all American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Standards.
  • As a nationally ranked club our Lifeguards must have the ability to continually meet and exceed the high standards of our club. We expect all lifeguards to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance. The pool environment at Cherry Hills is an extremely active department of the club and is continuously busy with members, guests, and especially children.
  • Applicants must be able to work in a fast paced-upscale environment and always have an engaging personality.
  • Lifeguards must obtain a Lifeguard Certification on the first day of work. For those who are not currently certified, Cherry Hills Country Club can certify lifeguards and offers training the weekend of May 9th for a certification from the American Red Cross.
  • Applicant must be flexible with hours, a changing schedule, holidays, and weekends.

Compensation:

This is a part-time seasonal position offered at $18 per hour.

  • Sick pay up to 48 hours a year - accrued based on hours worked
