Job description
The Director, Destination Technical Lifecycle Management is responsible for the strategic oversight, optimization, and lifecycle management of marine and land-based technical assets (power plant, water production, waste water treatment, water amenities equipment/ technology, solid waste management/ recycling, food & beverage equipment, fire detection and supression, irrigation, etc.) across the company's seven private destinations.
This role owns the end-to-end definition and governance of tenderboat acquisition, planned maintenance definition, and dry-docking strategies. In close partnership with Destination Operations and Asset Management teams, the position ensures robust planned maintenance system (PMS) inputs, accurate KPI tracking and reporting (i.e. asset downtime, cost of ownership), clearly defined spare-parts strategies, and disciplined Opex and Capex financial accountability. The role also drives effective maintenance planning, operational coordination, and consistency across the destination asset portfolio.
Shoreside technical assets include, but are not limited to: firefighting, lifesaving, and safety systems; diesel generators, fuel tanks, and UPS systems; laundry, galley, and bar equipment; potable water systems; electrical systems and CCTV; HVAC; pools, jacuzzis, and recreational systems; black and grey water systems; gym equipment; and other critical technical infrastructure. Marine assets include a fleet of tenders, encompassing acquisition strategy, maintenance and repair, operational readiness, dry-dock planning, and maintenance crew management.
This role will also lead the adoption and implementation of asset strategy across the private destinations to drive efficiencies, reliability, standardization, and stronger asset performance across the destination portfolio. This role will look for synergies across destinations, with shipboard operations and Alaska operations.
This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, operational consistency, asset reliability, and cost efficiency across all destinations, while supporting a consistently high standard of guest experience. The role will support HESS/RAAS audit follow-up by ensuring asset-related findings are reviewed, prioritized, and executed in accordance with approved action plans.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in engineering and technical asset management, a strong passion for operational excellence, and a highly process- and data-driven mindset. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, financial and analytical rigor, and an entrepreneurial approach to continuous improvement. The position collaborates closely with technical, asset management, sourcing, and Corporate and Brand operations stakeholders across the enterprise.
The Director, Destination Technical Lifecycle Management will report directly to the VP, Destination Operations, with dotted-line reporting to the Corporate Shipbuilding team (AVP, Machinery Lifecycle Management) and the Maritime Asset Strategy team to ensure alignment with corporate maritime and technical standards, asset strategy, and lifecycle management practices. This role will have dotted-line oversight of the destination engineering teams to ensure consistent technical execution, maintenance discipline, and asset lifecycle management across the private destination portfolio.

- Manage operations of tenders and other technical assets in support of brand activities at private destinations.
- Develop maintenance strategies and planned maintenance systems (PMS); ensure timely and effective execution to support asset reliability and safe operations.

- A record of developing effective tools, plans, and relationships across an enterprise to pursue corporate goals and adequately impact business results outside of their direct area of responsibility.
