Job Description

The Wave Planner is responsible for the efficient management of inventory and order fulfillment processes within the distribution center. This role involves order management, creating and dispatching work to optimize the picking, packing, and shipping of products. The Wave Planner works closely with various departments to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.  

YOUR TASK 

  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
  • Monitor wave performance and make adjustments as needed to meet changing demands. 
  • Resolve issues interfering with on-time completion of orders.  
  • Communicate / escalate issues 
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with operations to ensure inventory is correctly allocated for outbound orders 
  • Ensure that inventory is properly allocated to meet wave plans and customer demands.
  • Prepare reports and provide insights on wave performance, order fulfillment rates, and inventory management. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance warehouse operations and streamline workflows. 
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved.  
  • Communicate with Client Services on issues of non-workable orders. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to wave planning and order fulfillment. 
  • Continuous involvement and support with departmental process improvements 
  • Follow and maintain 5S Program and guidelines 
Qualifications
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced packaging environment   
  • Perform accurately under stressful conditions.   
  • SAP knowledgeable 
  • Microsoft Office Proficient 
  • Customer-oriented, professional communication skills 
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • The ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures; ability to multitask 
  • B.A. degree or equivalent work experience, minimum 4 years as scheduler 
  • Flexibility is a must: Must be able to work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts, and different areas of the warehouse   
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment  
  • Knowledge of SAP pertaining to warehouse activities
